Collective IMPACT
DSU-SDGs Center
Dongseo University established DSU-SDGs Center in September 2022, with the aim of participating in the global activities of Sustainable Development Goals adopted by UN and encouraging every member’s involvement (Collective Impact) as well as contributing to the humanity which is the founding philosophy of the university.
SDGs Campaign, DSU-SDGs Annual Report, SDGs Academy and SDGs International Design Awards are major initiatives of DSU-SDGs center, through which we have been addressing the issues of our time ‘sustainability’. Complying with the ethos of ESG, we aspire to foster talents adding values to the society and to revitalize the local community assisted by residents.
Furthermore, under the motto “Think global, act local” (Agenda 21), we are joining in the SDGs activities as well as SDSN (Sustainable Development Solutions Network), networks of experts from higher educational institutions. And we will continue our effort for the sustainable development of our society.
동서대학교는 UN의 지속가능발전목표(Sustainable Development Goals)의 글로벌 활동에 동참하여, 모든 구성원의 참여(Collective Impact)를 유도하고, 인류를 위한 봉사라는 건학이념을 실천하기위해 2022년 09월 지속가능발전센터(DSU-SDGs Center)를 설립하였다.
DSU-SDGs 센터는 SDGs캠페인, DSU-SDGs애뉴얼리포트, SDGs아카데미, SDGs디자인국제공모전을 주요사업을 이행하며 이를 통하여 시대의 화두인 지속가능성에 대응하고, 사회적 가치 창출 인재 양성으로 ESG경영에 대응해 나가며 주민참여 지역 커뮤니티 활성화를 추구한다.
또한 “Think global, act local”(Agenda 21) 이라는 모토에 공감하며, SDGs의 활동에 동참하고 실용적인 해법을 촉진하기 위한 세계 고등교육기관의 전문가 집단인 SDSN(지속가능발전 해법 네트워크, Sustainable Development Solutions Network)의 회원기관으로서 교육을 통하여 지역사회의 지속가능한 발전을 위한 노력을 지속해 나갈 계획이다.
