초록

최근 몇 년 간 범죄예방 영역에서 제 3세대 CPTED 지속가능한 발전에 관한 논의는 국제적 이슈로 여러 학자들이 연구를 진행하였다. 차세대 CPTED 발전 맥락의 변천에 따르면, 안전성만 범죄예방의 중점으로 발전시키는 방향은 도시 커뮤니티의 지속가능한 발전을 만족시키지 어려우며 CPTED의 원칙 용어 및 개념성 혼돈으로 인하여 이론 자체의 지속가능한 발전에 부정적인 영향을 주고 있다.
Saville과 Mihinjac이 2019년에 제 3세대 CPTED의 이론적 연구에서 제기한 거주적합성 원칙은 도시와 커뮤니티 생활에서 더 광범위한 속성에 주목하였고 기존의 안전성만 고려한 범죄예방에 대하여 개선방법을 제공하였다. 그 외에도 현 단계에서 도시환경 중의 여러 모순을 조절하고 병합하는 방법을 제기하여 제 3세대 CPTED와 통합할 필요성이 있다고 언급하였다.
또한, CPTED의 도입, 실현, 반성을 위한 구조화 프레임은 이론적 관점을 지지하고 상호 경쟁과 차이점 공존을 허용하며 도시환경 변화에 적용하는 속성까지 포함하여 제 3세대 CPTED에 적용해야 하므로 본 연구에서는 디자인학 영역의 시스템 디자인 프레임워크에 내포한 본질의 확산적이면서도 수렴적인 디자인적 사고가 제 3세대 CPTED 프로세스 프레임워크 강화의 계기를 마련해 주었다고 판단하였다.
이에 따라 본 연구는 디자인 영역의 시스템 디자인 프레임워크를 결합하여 프레임워크의 확산적과 수렴적 디자인 사고를 제 3세대 CPTED에 적용하여 제 3세대 CPTED에 적용 가능한 프로세스 프레임워크를 제안하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 우선 거주적합성 원칙을 결합하여 제 3세대 CPTED를 거주적합성 원칙 중의 지속가능성과 서로 다른 차원을 연결하고 도시와 커뮤니티의 지속가능한 반전에 연결을 수립하여 지속가능한 제 3세대 CPTED 이론을 지지하는 이론 기초를 제공하였으며, 그 다음에 Saville과 Mihinjac의 주장을 결합하여 제 3세대 CPTED의 이론모델에 재구성하고 더블 다이아몬드를 핵심으로 하는 시스템 디자인 프레임워크를 통하여 재구성한 제 3세대 CPTED의 이론모델에 접목하였다. 또한, 시스템 디자인 프레임워크의 탐색(Explore), 재구성(Reframe), 창조(Create), 촉매(Catalyse)에 해당하는 CPTED 이론을 접목하기 위하여 CPTED 원칙과 지속가능성을 결합한 다음, 구조방정식모델을 이용하여 확인적 요인분석, 경로 분석, 적합도 분석을 진행하였다. 이를 통하여 제 3세대 CPTED 재구성 모델을 기반으로 본 연구에서는 시스템 디자인 프레임워크에서 연구모델을 검증하고 원칙 간의 상관성을 파악하며, 탐색, 재구성, 창조, 촉매가 4가지 서로 다른 단계에 적용하여 동시에 재구성한 제 3세대 CPTED의 이론모델과 4가지 단계를 접목하는 단계 활동 및 단계 결과(Activities and Output)의 내용을 구체적으로 설명하고 최종적으로 지속가능한 제 3세대 CPTED 프로세스 프레임워크를 제안하였다.
본 연구는 차세대 CPTED 발전 맥락의 정체성을 확립하고, 향후 제 3세대 CPTED 관련 연구에 참고와 도움을 제공하는데 기대하며, 지속가능한 제 3세대 CPTED 프로세스 프레임워크가 관련된 범죄예방 디자인 프로젝트에 적용하고, 동시에 지속가능한 제 3세대 CPTED의 효과성 향상에 실행 가능성을 제공하는데 그 의의가 있다.

Abstract

In recent years, the discussion about the sustainable development of the third generation CPTED in the crime prevention area has become an international issue and has been studied by a number of scholars. According to the changes to the context of next-generation CPTED development, the direction that develops only safety as the center of crime prevention is difficult to satisfy the sustainable development of the city community, and the confusion in the terms and the concepts of the CPTED is giving a negative effect on the sustainable development of the theory itself.
The liveability principle proposed by Saville and Mihinjac in their theoretical study on the third-generation CPTED in 2019 focused on the wider properties in the city and community lives and provided the improvement methods for existing crime prevention methods that considered only safety. Moreover, the scholars proposed methods to adjust and merge various contradictions in the city environment in the current phase and mentioned the need to integrate them with the third-generation CPTED.
Moreover, the structural frame for the introduction, realization, and reflection of the CPTED has to be applied to the third-generation CPTED, including the properties to support the theoretical perspectives, permit the juxtaposition of mutual competition and differences, and apply the changes to the urban environment. Therefore, this study determined that the divergent yet convergent design thinking of the essence connoted in the Systemic Design Framework in the design area prepared the opportunity to strengthen the third-generation CPTED process framework.
As such, this study proposed the process framework that can be applied to the third-generation CPTED by combining the Systemic Design Framework in the design area and applying the framework's divergent and convergent design thinking to the third-generation CPTED. For this purpose, this study first combined the liveability principle to link the third-generation CPTED to the sustainability among the liveability principle and other dimensions and provided the theoretical foundation that supported sustainable third-generation CPTED theory by linking the sustainable development of the city and community. Then, the claims by Saville and Mihinjac were combined to reconstruct the theoretical model of the third-generation CPTED and grafted them to the theoretical model of the third-generation CPTED, which has been reconstructed through the Systemic Design Framework centered on the double diamond. In addition, the CPTED principles and sustainability were combined, and the confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis, and fit analysis were conducted using the structural equation model in order to graft the CPTED theory that corresponded to the Explore, Reframe, Create, and Catalyse of the Systemic Design Framework. Through these, based on the third-generation CPTED reconstruction model, this study validated the research model in the Systemic Design Framework, identified the correlation between the principles, made a minute description of the theoretical models for the third-generation CPTED reconstructed simultaneously with the action of exploration, reframe, creation, and catalyzation on four different phases and the contents of phase activities and output that grafted the four steps, before finally proposing the sustainable third-generation CPTED process framework.
This study is meaningful that it anticipates establishing the identification of the development context of the next-generation CPTED, providing references and help in future studies related to the third-generation CPTED, applying to the crime prevention design project related to the sustainable third-generation CPTED process framework, and providing the possibility to improve the efficiency of the sustainable third-generation CPTED process framework.
