The Korean Times, in partnership with Woori Bank, is proud to host the 22nd annual Economic Essay Contest for University Students. This year's competition features a total prize pool of 6 million won. We look forward to the active participation of talented students.
1. Schedule
- • Submission Deadline: Until May 31, 2026 (Sun)
- • Winner Announcement: Scheduled for June 16, 2026 / Individual notification to winnters
2. Eligibility
• Target: Undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in universities (No regional restrictions)
• Participation Category: Individual
∗Essays must be written by a single individual. (Team entries are not permitted.)
3. How to Apply
• Submission Method: Complete the essay within the application form and submit it via e-mail (essaykoreatimes@gmail.com)
4. Prizes
• 1st Place: 3 million KRW
• 2nd Place: 2 million KRW
• 3rd Place: 1 million KRW
