International College

Students affiliated with the International College are required to complete a total of 30 credits of elective liberal arts courses before graduation. In addition, it is a basic principle of the International College that these elective liberal arts courses be taken with a focus on Korean language, Korean culture, and Korean society.

The International College aims to cultivate globally competent professionals grounded in a deep understanding of Korea through education centered on the Korean language, Korean culture, and Korean society. Accordingly, completing elective liberal arts courses in Korean is a fundamental principle for realizing this educational philosophy.

This approach provides an essential foundation not only for students’ academic adaptation in Korea but also for their long-term settlement within the local community. Furthermore, Korean companies and institutions place strong emphasis on practical Korean language proficiency in professional settings.
Taking liberal arts courses focused on the Korean language, Korean culture, and Korean society helps students systematically develop the specialized vocabulary, document comprehension, and written communication skills required in real working environments.
