This course introduces the fundamentals of visual language. This course focuses on the theory of cinematography and explains how to visualize and compose images. Through the study for cinematography, students will understand how to express emotions to the audience by cinematic techniques.

Students will learn the principles and theories of the Digital Matte-Painting Process. They’ll then learn basic methods of animation in three-dimensional space. Matte painting is an enormously rich topic, but the practice and theory provided in this course will give students a solid footing.

This course is to understand how to develop and produce a film. Learning thru all steps from creating an idea and writing a scenario, student figure out how to create a story and, how they develop and produce films.

Students develop their ability to produce short film story through class. Students will learn how to pick up, how to write, how to outline. Story structure including act 1, 2, 3 and plots will be taught. Characterization and background will be taught. In order to do this, you need to practice creating stories as always. Through this, students will be able to find employment in a wide variety of fields that enable storytelling.

This course introduces the fundamentals of light and colors. This course focuses on the theories of lighting and explains how to visualize the scenes with lighting techniques. Students will learn how to light up in various situations for making the shots vivid and meaningful.

This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of VFX with Houdini & Nuke. Students will learn the process of combining Houdini-based effects with live footage.

In this course, students’study about fundamental of compositing skill with Nuke for exquisite scenes. Students will learn special effects to use their scene like FX movie scene. Students will get an opportunity how to match CG objects to live action film to use Nuke. This course will focus on not only learning composition techniques but also a high quality of portfolio.

In this course, students will learn to use Maya, Zbrush to create 3D environment models like vehicle, props, buildings, and other set pieces from concept sketch. This course also covers how to create an asset texturing pipeline in Substance Painter and methods for combining those models, textures into cohesive Arnold scenes.

This course focuses on the defining characteristics of cinema: Editing. This course will provide the students both a historical and critical understanding of the raft of film editing, as well as letting them acquire the basic tools of editing by discovering the editing software hands-on through practical exercises.

This course focuses on the simulation of various visual effects. Through the simulation process of fluid, physical fracture, pyro and particle effects, students will learn the details of the different effects and how to implement them.

This course is to develop digital lighting in Maya for exquisite 3D scenes that is believable. Students will get knowledge about the important role of digital lighting as a story teller in film.

This writing-intensive seminar takes a close look at four key theoretical concepts for film & media criticism: textuality, authorship, genre, and narrative. Through theoretical readings and exemplary screenings, we will learn to become sharper critics of films and media.

This class aims to produce more realistic results through the techniques used in the actual site of Composite. The goal is to learn the ability to proactively solve problems arising from production of a work through complex functions and more detailed contents rather than basic functions.

Students will be able to apply traditional screenwriting techniques to develop their unique writing style in a screenplay that adheres to industry standards. Students will write and edit the a short or feature length movie script.

This course will provide students to prepare graduation project. Students will develop and confirm the script and perform pre-production based on the story developed. Lock up script, casting and location scouting must be completed in this course.

This course focuses on the defining characteristic of cinema: editing. Students will see how editing is more than a tool to assemble images and sounds together, but that it can help build on themes, better convey the characters’ thoughts and emotions to the viewers, and reach the levels of pure musical rhythm and poetic expression.

In this course, students will learn a solid set of techniques and tools to begin their journey in this exciting frontier called Virtual Production. The course uses a practical, hands-on approach to teach students how to build VP(Virtual Production) projects and applications using the Unreal Engine.

This course will provide guideline to students to complete graduation project. Students will shoot and perform post-production based on the pre-prodcution prepared in previous semester. Complete the project, find film festivals and make a marketing plan in this course.

This course covers the entire process of sound production corresponding to the post-production stage of video work production. And students will be able to practice and complete the sound for the graduation work.
