Dr. Cate Shanahan, in her book Dark Calories, highlights the dangers of vegetable oils, also known as seed oils.
These oils are pervasive in many foods, especially in restaurants and the food industry due to their low cost. They're found in salad dressings, sauces, and dips. The average American gets 30% of their calories from seed oils, which builds inflammatory body fat, destroys the metabolism, causes mitochondrial dysfunction, which leads to oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is linked to cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, cancers, metabolic disorders, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, and aging. Seed oils are the Root cause of insulin resistance. Inflammatory body fat has a negative Impact on Organ Functions and causes hormonal imbalances. Once inflammatory fat accumulates, it can be challenging to get rid of, requiring a sustained effort through a healthy diet, regular exercise, and lifestyle changes. Managing this type of fat is crucial for maintaining overall health and preventing life-threatening diseases.
Seed oils are contaminating our food supply. When exposed to light, heat, or reheating, they form even more toxins. People need to be aware of what they consume, particularly in restaurants.
Currently, the technology is expensive, however, we plan to bring it to the masses for the health of societies around the world.
Introducing the Seed Poison Detector: a device that identifies seed oils in food within 1-2 minutes using infrared light to detect specific molecular bonds characteristic of seed oils. Each seed oil has a unique IR (infrared spectroscopy) spectrum based on its chemical composition. By comparing a sample's spectrum to known spectra, it can identify the type and presence of seed oil. The intensity of absorption peaks indicates the concentration of specific components, allowing quantification of the seed oil content.
By scanning it to your food, the detector will identify the presence or absence of seed oils and which specific seed oil is being used.
It’s easy to use, carry, and affordable!
This technology will help people make healthier choices and could revolutionize
the food industry to prioritize customer health.
