I was halfway through my meal at a restaurant the other day, the food was tasting not so good... On my way to the bathroom, I passed the storage area -and stopped cold.
Lined up against the wall were massive cans of seed oil, shaped like mini propane tanks. In that instant, I thought about the havoc these oils wreak on the body—driving stubborn fat, chronic inflammation, and long-term health damage. My appetite disappeared.
Right then, I knew: I will never eat here again.
That unsettling moment reminded me of one of my student’s Damia Batrisyia Global Wellness Summit-Shark Tank of Wellness projects-an idea so creative, she turned her mission to eliminatetoxic seed oils form restaurantmeals into a catchy song. Instead of a traditional marketing video, she used rhythm and melody to make the dangers-and healthier choices-stick in people's minds long after the tune ends.
Wellness education doesn’t have to be boring.Sometimes it makes you think…Sometimes it makes you laugh…And sometimes—it makes you sing.
True wellness starts with knowing exactly what’s going into your food.
