Team – Memory in Motion
Representing Indonesia and the Philippines
Memory in Motion is a community-based wellness concept that redefines how society supports individuals living with dementia, physical limitations, and other cognitive conditions. The project bridges the gap between costly care facilities and everyday public spaces—transforming community parks and shared environments into therapeutic landscapes where movement, memory, and play naturally intersect.
Every design element, from the curvature of walkways to the textures of interactive installations, is grounded in evidence and crafted to stimulate cognition, mobility, and emotional connection. These sensory experiences encourage spontaneous interaction, reflection, and relaxation, fostering a sense of inclusion rather than isolation.
Unlike traditional care centers, Memory in Motion brings healing into the flow of daily life. Its adaptable model allows local governments to customize each site to community demographics, ensuring wellness access across socioeconomic levels.
Ultimately, Memory in Motion reimagines public space as a living ecosystem of belonging, dignity, and compassion—where care is not confined but integrated into the shared rhythm of everyday life.
