Lucy Jeon has a podcast where she interviews expats from around the world who have found success living in other countries.  She herself is an expat currently living in Canada. Before living in Canada, Lucy lived in Singapore and several other countries.   Since 2021 August, she has worked with more than 100 clients and students from 25+ countries to help them get jobs abroad with visa sponsorship and fully remote jobs in North America, Europe, and Asia.

In this episode, the guest is Professor Danny Kessler, an American expat who has built a distinctive academic and professional life in South Korea.

Professor Kessler serves as an Assistant Professor at Dongseo University’s International College, where he teaches, mentors, and leads initiatives such as the Workplace Wellness Micro-Degree and the Workplace Wellness Research Lab. He and one of his students recently won an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai after earning a top placement at the Global Wellness Summit’s Shark Tank of Wellness competition.

Before entering academia, Kessler was an entrepreneur, and he has authored several books. The conversation explores his experience living and working in South Korea as an expat, how his entrepreneurial background shapes his approach to teaching, and the mindset that drives his continued curiosity and impact.
