Students from the International College Animation Department have achieved remarkable success, winning prestigious awards in both domestic and international competitions.
The film The Workstation (工位), co-produced by students Liu Yanti, Liu Yuwen, Huang Ruiqi, Feng Yiyang, and Gao Chuowen, won First Prize in the undergraduate category of the 13th Future Designer · National College Digital Art Design Competition (第13届未来设计师·全国高校数字艺术设计大赛), recognized by the Ministry of Education of China. This is a highly competitive contest involving over 3.5 million students from more than 2,500 universities across China.
In addition, the same work also received a Special Award at the 3rd Seoul International AI Film Festival, held at Entreble, Seoul, on September 28. Out of more than 370 submissions by AI filmmakers from the United States, China, Japan, Brazil, and other countries, the team’s work stood out and was honored.
The award-winning students are part of the Korea-China New Media College, jointly operated by Dongseo University and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in China. They completed three years of study in China and one year in Korea under the guidance of faculty from both universities.
Professor Dohoon Kim of the Animation Department at Dongseo University, who supervised the project, stated:
“This achievement is the result of collaborative efforts by faculty from both institutions. I believe it will serve as an inspiration for their juniors and lead to even greater accomplishments in the future.”
