Practicing Founding Values (Public Service) Course Guide

- Dear Students,
The course previously called Public Service is now titled Practicing Founding Values.
This course does not involve regular classroom lectures. Instead, students are required to complete volunteer activities during the semester. Please read the following instructions carefully.
1. Volunteer Hours Requirement
- Students must complete at least 15 hours of volunteer service during the semester.
- Volunteer activities may be conducted either on campus or off campus.
2. Type of Volunteer Activities
- There is no restriction on the type of volunteer activity.
- Students may participate in any meaningful community volunteer work.
- Examples may include:
- Community service
- Environmental activities
- Educational support
- Social welfare activities
- Campus volunteer programs
3. Finding Volunteer Opportunities
If you want to participate in off-campus volunteer activities, you may use the following website: 1365 Volunteer Portal (https://www.1365.go.kr)
Through this website, you can find volunteer opportunities near the university or in your local area.
4. Submission Requirement
After completing the volunteer activities, students must submit proof of participation, such as:
- Volunteer activity report, or
- Official certificate of volunteer hours
The Volunteer Activity Report template will be shared on e-Class.
Students should download the template from the classroom corresponding to the number they registered for (2, 4, or 6) and complete the report using that format.
5. Important Notes
- This course is evaluated on a Pass / Non-Pass (P/N) basis.
- There are no midterm or final exams.
- Completion of the required volunteer hours and submission of proof are necessary to receive a Pass.
