We are pleased to announce the James Dyson Award 2026, an international design and engineering competition organized by Dyson.
Since its launch in 2005, the competition has supported over 400 inventions worldwide. It invites students to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems—from everyday inconveniences to challenges in healthcare and the environment.

■ Eligibility
- University (undergraduate/graduate) students in engineering or design, or graduates within the past 4 years
- Individual or team participation allowed
- For team entries:
- Team leader must be an engineering or design major
- Other members may be from any major but must meet student/graduate eligibility
- Up to 10 members per team

- Entries may include images or videos explaining the concept, working principles, and development process
- Prototypes are not required but will be advantageous during evaluation
- Shortlisted teams must bring their prototype for on-site judging
