We are pleased to announce the 2026 Hyundai AutoEver Barrier-Free App Development Contest, organized by Hyundai AutoEver.

This competition aims to develop mobile applications that improve mobility and daily convenience for socially vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities, the elderly, children, and pregnant women.

Participants will design and develop real-world usable apps through a structured program including idea submission, mentoring, development, and final evaluation.

■ Theme

• Development of mobile applications that improve mobility and daily life convenience for socially vulnerable groups
• (e.g., people with disabilities, elderly individuals, children, pregnant women, etc.)

■ Eligibility

• Type 1: University (undergraduate/graduate) students, team of 3 members
• Type 2: 3 students + 1 faculty advisor (for continuous mentoring)
• No difference in evaluation criteria between Type 1 and Type 2

■ Schedule

• Idea Submission: April 20 – May 17, 2026 (17:00)
• Review Period: May 18 – June 7, 2026
• Interview Evaluation: June 20, 2026
• Training Camp: July 9 – July 10, 2026
• Development Period: July 13 – December 4, 2026
• Final Presentation: Mid-January 2027 (Tentative)

■ Participation Method

• Submit application through the official Barrier-Free App Development Contest website: https://www.autoeverapp.kr/ 

■ Support

• Development support fund: KRW 5,000,000 per team (7 teams selected)

■ Awards

• Grand Prize: Minister of Science and ICT Award + KRW 5,000,000 additional support (1 team)
• Excellence Award: Hyundai AutoEver CEO Award + KRW 3,000,000 additional support (1 team)
• Merit Award: Organizer Award + KRW 1,000,000 additional support (1 team)

■ Important Notes

• Full participation in all stages is mandatory
• Intellectual property rights belong to the developers, but project sponsorship must be indicated in the final app
• Plagiarism or commercialization during the contest period will result in disqualification and refund of support funds
• Apps must be released as free applications
• Submitted apps cannot be deleted without permission
• Final apps must be registered on app stores
