[Digital Animation Students’ Comments on the Study Field – SFC’s Second Meeting]
Dear SFC Committee,
The following paragraphs summarize the meeting on 18th September 2025. We followed up on issues brought up during the last meeting for the Animation students:
1. The topic of scholarships was discussed; unfortunately, the international office clarified that they do not have the authority to make decisions on scholarships for students. We will follow up with the academic affairs office on this matter. As it stands, we were informed that no scholarship program is available to bachelor students of Dongseo.
2. Regarding internship support, the international office is having difficulty supporting students due to visa complications after studies. Currently, during studies, there are no students interning at local companies. The ongoing partnership projects with Dongseo University are outsourcing projects led by professors. It was great to hear Dongseo pledge to build relationships to start internship programs for students.
3. Question about electives and credit count from DSU, the Internal office will clarify the final elective count, and all relevant clauses that relate to electives and credits required for graduation. They will follow up with us before the next semester's course selection period starts.
Although it's tough to hear about complications regarding essential student support, it's encouraging to see Dongseo staff do their best to rectify the matter.
