Hi there. I’m Min Joo Lee, Korean captain of the art club. I’m majoring in interactive media design and currently a co-captain with Abdubaziz Abbasov who is the other co captain of our club. The club has 2 sessions a week on wednesday at 6pm, and friday at 6 pm and it takes 1 hours for both every sessions. Each captain lead their own session on each day, however both club’s sessions continues with same contacts to make it fair for all of the club members. Currently we have about 25 students in our club and is always welcoming new members.

Our club’s activities involve object drawing, figure drawing, view painting and etc. We go through various types or art from simple contour line drawing to full colored painting. We accept everyone no matter what their art skill is and even someone who have never drawn or painted before. Our club’s goal is to interact with many students from different cultures while enjoying art. We will go through some simple skills and techniques however, each artist’s own creativity and interaction between the students comes first. Because of these reasons, the club’s session is flexible and will also accept as much opinions as possible about what the members want to do or try out during the session.

To interact with others we will always either talk or present each others art work at the end of the session. Also, there will be big project or pieces that we will work on as a group. Some of the art work can be exhibit in the GSI building. As much as we handle various types of art, all of the tools we need will be provided to use and return at the end of the session. So just bring yourself and the creativity to the session. We can’t promise you that you’ll be able to draw or paint like Picasso or Michelangelo but, we can promise you that it will be fun! (:
