Academic Notice Leaves of Absence (LOA) - Unregistered for the semester

Our lives contain both good and bad events, and sometimes that means you may need to take a leave of absence (LOA) from your study. Regardless of the reason (e.g., illness, accident, military duty, or other unavoidable circumstances) for your leave, there are steps you should take to ensure the university knows your intent and plan.

Application Period
- December 21, 2021(Tuesday) ~ February 18, 2022 (Friday)
Application Procedure
① Discuss with your advising professor
② When an LOA has been approved by the advising professor then you will receive the result of an LOA request (usually SMS but checked by the International College Office, if necessary)
③ Apply for an LOA online at the Student Support System
④ When you applied to take an LOA online then your academic advisor and parents will receive an SMS to ensure they know your LOA request
⑤ Approval from the academic affairs office
⑥ When a decision is made about your request then you will see it at the Student Support System (You will also receive an SMS or email)
Notice
- An LOA may be either for one semester or one year. Students needing to extend their period of LOA should apply for another LOA in the semester they are expected to return.

Tuition Fees
- Taking an LOA without having submitted tuition fees, students are not required to submit tuition fees for the semester.
