Join the 2025 Mathematics Photo Contest, where you can easily capture hidden mathematical elements around the Nowon Mathematics Museum and submit your photos! No advanced math skills are required—snap a picture highlighting a mathematical aspect and submit it.
1. Contest Period: February 1, 2025 (Sat) – December 31, 2025 (Wed)
Winners will be selected and announced monthly; the number of winners may vary.
2. Theme & Eligibility
- Theme: Capture the beauty of mathematics in everyday life through photography.
- Eligibility: Anyone interested in mathematics is welcome to participate.
- Submission Criteria:
- One entry per person
- Photo must be taken by the participant
- File format: JPG/JPEG/PNG
- File size: 10MB or less
3. What is considered a “mathematical element”?
- Symmetry, geometric structures, patterns, probability, statistics, etc.
- Examples: Subway map (Graph Theory), Sidewalk tiles (Tessellation), and Window blinds (Parallel lines)
