Academic Notice Final Assessment Schedule for Students Expecting to Graduate by August 2025

The final assessment date has been confirmed. All students expecting to graduate in August 2025 must prepare a final presentation for their graduation project (and thesis). The presentation will be conducted as a public defense, where students will present their work and respond to questions from the graduation committee.
1. Presentation Day & Time
 - Date: June 4, 2025 (Wednesday)
 - Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (KST)

2. Location
 - Room IC404, International College Building

3. Presentation Format
 - Each student will have a 15-minute presentation (maximum) followed by 5 minutes for questions.
 - You may use any tool to create slides, but you must submit them with your thesis via email (lys0113@dongseo.ac.kr) in PDF or PPT/X format before 11:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
 - A recorded video demonstrating the final project results must also be submitted with the presentation file and thesis.
 - Students may demonstrate the project live during the presentation or use the recorded video.
4. Assessment Criteria & Scoring
The graduation committee will assess and grade the graduation project based on the following four criteria (100 points total):

- Is the project fully functional with properly implemented core features?
- Are the chosen technologies appropriate and effectively utilized?

Creativity & Problem-Solving Ability
- Does the project introduce innovative elements?
- Does it effectively address the identified problem?

Demonstration & Presentation
- Is the project demonstration smooth and well-prepared?
- Is the presentation logical and clear?
- Does the student respond effectively to questions?
20 points
Documentation & Report Writing
- Is the project documentation (proposals, presentation file, and thesis) well-structured and clear?
20 points
※ Passing Criteria: Students must receive at least 70 points from all committee members to pass.
5. Final Presentation & Submission Guidelines
All students must prepare their presentation to include the following elements:
 - Literature Review & Problem Definition
   * Clearly explain the research background, problem statement, and motivation behind the project.
 - Solution Methodology
   * Describe the approach, algorithms, frameworks, or technologies used to solve the problem.
 - Demonstration of Project Results
   * Show the working prototype or system, highlight key features, and provide a live demonstration or a recorded video.
   * The recorded video must be submitted along with the presentation file and thesis.
 - Submission Documents
   * The following must be submitted before the deadline:
     ● Presentation file (PDF or PPT/X format)
     ● Graduation thesis (using the official thesis template)
     ● Recorded video demonstrating the final project
6. On the Day of Your Presentation
 - Wear business casual attire for the presentation.
 - Arrive at the presentation room at least 10 minutes early.
