The Department of Korean Language Education at the Graduate School of Dongseo University teaches the theory and practical teaching methods of Korean language education. The program will start from the spring semester of 2023 with the aim of training Korean language education experts to work in Korea and the global field. All major classes are taught in Korean, and practicuum (training) is conducted in cooperation with Dongseo University's Institute of Foreign Language Education (IFLE).
This is an MA degree course, which has been accredited by the National Institute of Korean Language's Korean Teacher Training Institution. Thus, students obtain a second level of Korean teacher certificate when they earn the master's degree. . Admission requirements
- Applicants must have a BA degree.
- International students must submit an official score of TOPIK 4.'
Graduation requirements
- Students must obtain minimum 24 credits, including those of required courses.
- Students must meet the requirement of GPA 3.0 or above.
- Students must pass the "comprehensive exam."
- Students must pass "the foreign language test"; international students are required to submit an official score of TOPIK 6.
- Students can submit their master's thesis after they pass the comprehensive exam and the foreign language test.
